There is a line in the movie "Jurassic Park" just after the T-Rex attacks the Explorer which goes, "We'll we're back in the tree again...." Honestly, that is what today felt like. The tumbleweeds were blowing across the parking lot and I had to drag my rear back to campus to start my bar prep for the 2008 Cal Bar Exam (CBX). This first week is a introduction to the MBE subjects. Torts, Crim Law, Contracts, Property, Con Law, and evidence, along with a simulated 100 question (or 1/2 day) MBE exam. Or what I like to call, "Basic Bar Studies, the condensed version"
Today was not that bad, at least for the Torts questions. But then the post lunch siesta kicked in and I rushed though the Crim Law questions. Bad idea, as I missed the first five. I know the material, but I need to find a way to keep my mind engaged and focused otherwise this is going to get ugly fast.
The goal is "one shot, one kill." I'm not done till I have the ESQ. after my name.
And no, you can't call me "Dr." At least not yet, unless I'm teaching somewhere and I feel like I want to go on a power trip. WDR.
