It has been said that one should never live life with regrets. In the summer of 2001, my family went on an east coast road trip, starting in Baltimore, swinging down to Washington D.C., and going up through Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and eventually ending up in New York City. Now, I had been to New York before but my previous trips were short and lasted no more than two or three days. On this trip however, we spent more time in New York and we were able to check out the Statue of Liberty, catch a Yankees game, and see Times Square. One morning I picked up a flyer for the World Trade Center tour. The tickets were not cheap, and someone mentioned that the lines were quite long to clear security in order to take the tour due to the previous attack on the World Trade Center. So I put the flyer back and told myself I'll make it back to the Towers the next time I made it back to New York. Unfortunately, due to the tragic events of 9/11 there would be no next time. To this day, I regret not being able to say that I visited the engineering marvel which was the World Trade Center, but as we remember the sacrifice of those who perished on this day, the Towers will forever remain in our memory.
