It's done. That's all I can say. I'm not going to say whether I should have spent more time on one essay or another, whether question number 22 of the MBE was extraordinarily difficult (heck, I don't even remember what question 22 was for that matter. If I did, I probably would be sued by the National Committee of Bar Examiners.) Or whether the performance exams were fair or not. All I know is that after an 18 hour exam and the longest week of my life, I'm still here, although I admit that after the first day a late night stroll on the Golden Gate Bridge was pretty tempting (Just kidding).
While many of my classmates were having to deal with an earthquake in Ontario and Anaheim, I guess I lucked out in Oakland. When I decided to take the exam in the Bar Area, I thought it was a good idea. A nice change of scenery for once along with the convenience of not having to drive back and forth from my hotel to the exam site. I was also quite surprised how organized everything was. There were no timing issues during the exam, no one freaked out, and the exam went off with the accuracy of a swiss watch. Even the idle chit chat with my fellow examinees before the exam helped in calming my nerves.
My part of the equation has been completed, it's now up to the Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California to grade what I wrote. To all of my classmates, Best of Luck. - WDR
