Not something I agree with

With Disneyland practically in my backyard I can almost always go there and escape reality. All of the problems of life seem to be left at the ticket gate (except for new problems: Long Lines, Heat, etc...).

But visitors to Disneyland last weekend had a dose of reality thrown at them. A life size statue of a Guantanamo Bay prisoner was thrown over the fence of Thunder Mountain Railroad (It's not the "Rocky Mountain Railroad") where it remained for over an hour and a half. Disney security shut down the ride and removed it as it posed a "Security Risk."Bankdis3

With Disneyland on the list of suspected terrorist targets, I'm scratching my head wondering how a few brazen street artist could skirt the system and get an inflatable prisoner doll on the ride. I'm also wondering why it took over an hour to remove it. I applaud the message that the street artist is trying to send but I'm not sure Disneyland is the right place for it.

However the coverage of this has pretty good timing considering the 9/11 Smear-piece that ABC (Owned by Disney) will probably air tomorrow night.
